And then suddenly something strikes her. He is fully sure she should know how kids are. Not the slightest doubt. But he shouldn't have any way of knowing that. It's enough to coax a confused expression out of him.
That...is not the face that should have accompanied that joke, and it's enough for Selenay to mirror his look of confusion back to him with a touch of concern thrown in for good measure.
The flirtatiousness has, for the moment, died in his expression.
"Naw, I just... I dunno. I thought I knew ya from somewhere." And he knows he just verbally tripped over his own feet, which probably killed whatever careless charm he was trying to present there.
"If you're sure..." She can't really say why she's so concerned, but she is and she's not going to question that too terribly much. She's still incredibly confused, but there's not really much to be done about that either. Odd.
