[ It's platform day, a different setting from the usual with the blanket of darkness hanging over them from above, but with lights above - and likely around, knowing some passengers - to keep them visible to one another.
And Yondu is always an easy sight in the mix of passengers, for the aforementioned reasons. Tidus comes from the direction of the luggage car, its doors wide open with the rest. With a hand going up too, when the centaurian looks his way. ]
Don't mind a nickname, do you? I've got the gear to make up for it if you do!
[ It's friendly, jovial; maybe Tidus being a cautious after some of the other older guys getting fussy about it. Hands coming to rest on his sides, a purple hoodie tied around his waist as he always bothers when they stop. ]
He doesn't shrug the hand off. He doesn't even stiffen much. The situation was what it was, and he'd rather not have a repeat of any part of it.
Still getting used to the whole 'friend' thing but at least Ravagers could dispense their moments of casual bro-ish affection. That part wasn't too foreign.
"I ain't sure. I ain't talked to anyone that's tried to go past the city limits, either. I figure if we knew what was out there we'd have a better idea of what to do in here."
"Yeah, I mean... She's been stuck on the train so long." Had truths that no kid would want revealed to them even back at home. "Must feel good to be in a world where everythin' makes sense."
And she comes with powers. No wishin'. They're just there.
"Alright. Well. We got a few people an' some idea of what's goin' on so that's better than nothin'. Figured I'd hook up with Roland when he's back in own mind. Not 'captivated' as I heard it put." Prompto had the best wording for it. "An' work out somethin' to call us some back-up."
Being incapable of magic, it's the best he can offer.
"Yeah, you tell 'im. Ain't much to like." He says to Rose.
"Oh god, kid that teleports. You got all my sympathies." He pats Wash on the shoulder. But that's not the problem here, is it. "I think the problem is that no one here belongs, I'm startin' to guess. I think ever'body mighta come from the outside." Maybe. It's unnerving, anyway.
"Talked to who? Talked to Casper?" He'd never really spoken much with Casper. He seemed fine. Kinda odd but that was apparently what gods do. Be odd.
He was a god, right? Ah well.
"Look, if you got a way of reachin' 'im? We're really gonna need all hands on deck. 'Cause this thing seems to be a lot more powerful than the lot of us, even our strongest. An' I know that guy's a hard hitter."
continued from here Oh he is fully aware he's not being subtle. Because generally a woman wouldn't appreciate suddenly being condemned to a date she wasn't planning on. But he's also used to being turned down, so he's not exactly expecting it.
"I don't reckon they'd hold it against me. Y'know, save for bein' a little embarrassed."
He only knows so much about void scouts, but so far travelling the void is the only thing he can imagine for himself if he gets loose.
"Last time her little robot put out a signal, it was a language what Purple Team lead Roland could understand. Now I don't know him all that well, but he's a good fella from what I've gathered. I get him to write up a message an' we break into a TV tower. TV tower has better range than most of the other transmitters, an' I know the scouts been keepin' track of broadcasts around different worlds.
"I need stealth ops and teleporters. Might need the help of a kid." He adds that part dismally, but he has seen Romeo be effective.
Why the hell that cat bothers him? He doesn't know. It just settles bad. Like... He doesn't know, like it might eat 'im? But that's a damn wierd thought. Where did that even come from? Wait, come to think of it he can't even remember her having a cat, so where did the cat even come from?
He's staring at it as he drags one of the brawlers out by their boots, watching their coat ride up as they're pulled along.
"I don't pay it no mind. If they're bad, somebody'll catch 'em. Hopefully it'll be us. I don't trust D-Force." He says it all distractedly though.
The head resting back against his arm feels nice. People in close proximity is something he's still getting used to, but it's easier when they're younger, somehow. Less likely to hurt him. And he knows Raven needs the comfort.
Hell, he needs the comfort right now too, even if he doesn't want to admit it.
"I woulda liked this kinda life. Just breakin' into shit what no one else could get into. Takin' stuff out. Used to do it ever' once in a while. Always one of my favorite types of jobs."
Again he shifts to look over, just letting the forearm that's been resting over his eyes rest above his head as he does so. And he's got a choice here. He can squirm out, slither from between the both of them and let Koumyou deal with this.
But there's empathy there. The same empathy that comes from seeing the shock and outrage when he casually mentions his own slavery, and reactions just remind him that everything good that he's learned, that he's cultivated, all the best things in his life came from a horrible history.
So he doesn't. He instead moves his arm under him and lets it rest around his shoulders, thumb rubbing where his hand comes to rest. Just to let him know that havin' bad shit happen to him and being capable of feelin' shouldn't be a scent so strong it runs people off.
He doesn't know what happened there, but the behavior is familiar enough.
Yondu had a strong suspicion that something like this might eventually happen. He'd even talked to Soldat about it recently. But at the same time, he almost appreciates that a friend wants to go out of their way to make him happy.
Almost.
Except that he doesn't know if he can deal with someone regarding him with dead indifference again. There's a monster in him that's been mostly silent, soothed by the presence of real true friends and good kids and a general atmosphere of support like he's not known in years. But that monster is still there, waiting to lash out at his rejections and failures, and he wants to keep it silent.
Okay because we're not all on plurk, I'm gonna do a new plotting comment here. Click the bell for the thread or whatever.
Okay so my general loose plan is: Yondu leaves camp for /insert reason here/, knowing he's going to be dragging mines. He'll say he's going (in fact I'll go post that now), but he's going to try and set up another of the equalizers hoping that'll fix a bunch of them.
General plan is that he gets out there, something gets to him despite being protected (whether it's a couple of the undead ones getting past or someone throwing a crazy lucky spear or something, I'm very tempted to do crazy lucky spear/a couple of arrows for irony), and then someone gets him far away from camp. I figure he'll need to get patched up after but I'll worry about that bridge when I get there.
Was thinking maybe Soldat and Tobirama could be running protection while he's trying to set up an equalizer and Vegeta can swoop in after he gets fucked up real good to take him somewhere that's Not Camp. I don't necessarily need to kill him I just need to fuck him up real good.
So I'll start trying to get a thing written up. Here is the SCA thing.
It was all coming to an end. That final fight, those final pieces in place, this was all ending. And with those options they were given… Vegeta had some thinking to do. Not that he showed signs of it, those who asked him about this all got a simple answer; he was going home. Staying wasn’t an option, and even if he would want to, Bulma would drag him back with her.
But those options, and the specific time he came from… that would prove an issue. Vegeta is sure on his choice… but he still wants to speak to someone about that. Someone he can trust to not run their mouth like Goku. Someone who wouldn’t fight and yell and scream at his choice like Bulma. Someone who, may not like it, but will accept it. Or so he thinks. Vegeta is sure on what he’s going to do, but he’s open to hearing options as well. Not normally, but in this case… he’s not sure.
So he’s hunting down Yondu as everyone sorts out things to get ready to leave, he himself not having much at all to take with him, if anything. He may even leave his old armor collection here in case another wants to use it in the future. Finding the other man, Vegeta calls out to him. “You got time to talk?”
It's the last time he'll have to speak to people. He's also not taking much time to do it.
He wants to leave. He doesn't want to watch certain people make what he feels are piss poor decisions. And at this point? There's no turning back for them.
So goes looking for a few people, just to blurt some final thoughts even if they can't change minds.

But then it occurs to him that he might need some more confirmation about Genjo. Just to see if Koumyou is right.
